IM Dmitry Schneider

At 20 years old Dmitry Schneider is one of America's greatest talents. He is currently ranked number 58 in the country as of December 2004. Dmitry, well-liked by almost everyone (except for perhaps the Samford committee), has represented the USA in World Youth events ever since he was a young boy. His practical style and strong opening preparation make him a very difficult opponent. If you play e4 against him be prepared for the French, as its Dima's specialty. Dmitry is a very well rounded player who should have fantastic chances to become a GM, once he gets more experience. Dmitry is now off to Texas to join the University of Dallas Texas chess team, and help propel them to another Pan Am collegiate Championship.
