FM "Iron" Mike Shahade (Pondering about what move to offer his opponent a draw)
The 4 time state Pennsylvania champion is now more concerned with the results of his children, however don’t let his
2270 rating fool you. He was a perennial 2400 player about 10 years ago and has let his rating slip due mainly to desires
to get to his “office” (the bar) as fast as possible after games, thus resulting in many quick draws against lower rated
players. He likes to avoid theoretical openings as he is not studying so much these days. Most likely you will see the
English opening if you have the black pieces.
