NM Yefim Treger

Treger is a very strange chessplayer. He likes to play very obscure openings and thus the games are often quite peculiar. He is very imaginative and can come up with really exotic ideas in positions you would least expect it. Don’t plan on seeing him trotting out 15 moves of theory in the Najdorf. He is incredibly streaky as well. He was once rated at 2370 USCF and now is back to around 2200. However all he needs is another hot streak to get that rating back up.
